Geoquiz

Overview

Geoquiz is a web app I designed for playing interactive quizzes on your phone. Follow the markers on the map and navigate between the questions. Compete with your friends to see who can get the higher score.

Technology

• HTML5 + CSS + JavaScript: No front-end framework is used, only plain javascript.
• Leaflet: A javascript library for interactive maps.
• WebSocket: Questions and points and synced between players using websockets.
• MongoDB: Database used for storing quizzes.

Problem

Creating quiz walks takes time and requires the organiser to create, print and place question posters along the whole route they want people to walk. Geoquiz makes the process easy by allowing the organiser to create the quiz online and publish it. People can then join from the app and play with their friends and family.
